Barkman Concrete is Manitoba’s leading concrete product manufacturer for commercial and residential spaces.

The Opportunity

In 2019, Barkman Concrete approached Relish with the idea of developing a mobile app that would allow its customers to view their product catalogue both online and offline, and provide a multi-product calculator for determining the cost to install driveways, walls, and more.

The Solution

Barkman Concrete worked alongside the Relish Development Team to decide on the platform’s best feature set. This collaborative approach resulted in a well-designed, user-friendly app.

The app connects to the Barkman website for all of its data, allowing administrators to update the website and the app’s content simultaneously. There are also expandable “app-only” areas that show more detailed information than what a user could find on the website.

The app is available offline by downloading the entire product catalogue. It also tracks the age of the data so that users know when the last update was, allowing them to download the latest version when they are within cell service or have wi-fi access.

The Barkman mobile app was designed and developed with expansion in mind. It would be easy and quick to add a long roadmap of features to the mobile app.
